About Manhattan Junior High
Manhattan Junior High School was built in 1994 and currently has 430 students enrolled. Currently, there are 42 certified teachers plus support staff at the facility. Students receive instruction in art, music, foreign language, computers, band, orchestra, and chorus in addition to core subject areas. A wide range of extra curricular activities including sports, band, chorus, orchestra, drama, journalism, cheer-leading, and student council provides opportunities for enrichment. Special student assistance is available through speech and language therapy, a psychologist, social worker, and LDR and SI staff. Community volunteers assist the school.
