In response to ongoing transportation challenges, Manhattan School District 114 has partnered closely with LW210 Transportation to improve the timing and efficiency of school bus routes. The collaboration is focused on ensuring students arrive home at reasonable times, with special attention given to afternoon routes that have seen the most delays.
Recent efforts have included a review and adjustment of several routes, notably Routes A and F. While changes initially eased delays on Route A, they created new issues on Route F. In response, another driver was added for Wilson Creek’s Route F, with additional improvements planned for Anna McDonald’s Route F.
Additionally, LW210 Transportation conducted a comprehensive review of bus stop locations and real-time GPS data to align published times with actual school dismissal and travel patterns. This has led to updated stop locations and times for many families, which will go into effect on Monday, September 15. Families are encouraged to check PowerSchool for the latest transportation information.
While the recent adjustments do not fully resolve all timing and efficiency concerns across the district, they mark an important step toward long-term improvements. The district will continue assessing route performance and implementing changes to better serve students and families.
Families with questions are encouraged to submit them through the Transportation Information Inquiry form.
