This week, MSD 114 Director of Operations Joe Trsar and Wilson Creek Elementary Principal Alyssa Mostyn had the opportunity to participate in the Will County Regional Office of Education’s New Admin Coaching Network!
The network brings energetic school administrators together with experienced coaches to build connections, share success stories, and engage in meaningful conversations about leadership. Under the guidance of former Joliet Central High School Principal John Randich, participants are laying the foundation for a school year centered on support, heart-led leadership, and a student-first vision.
We’re proud to see Joe and Alyssa representing Manhattan School District 114 while continuing to learn, connect, and grow alongside educational leaders from across Will County! 💙

What a way to kick off a new era at MJHS!
Tonight, the Manhattan Junior High Boys Soccer Team took the field for the first game in program history and walked away with the FIRST WIN in program history, defeating Minooka 1–0!
Congratulations to Coach Sepulveda and the entire team on this incredible milestone! We can’t wait to see what this group accomplishes throughout the rest of their inaugural season.

The Manhattan Junior High School Marching Band proudly represented MJHS while performing in the Manhattan Labor Day Parade as well as the Labor Day festivities at the Round Barn!
Led by Mrs. Pedziwater, these talented students dedicate countless hours and plenty of hard work, effort, and definitely some sweat to learning and performing music for our community to enjoy. We are incredibly proud of their commitment and this is just the beginning of their outstanding performances that are sure to come this year!

This week, MJHS hosted its annual New Student Welcome Breakfast. Our Principal's Cabinet Leaders shared suggestions on how to be successful this year while also informally chatting with their peers over donuts!
Also this week, our 6th-grade scientists became detectives (complete with mustaches) while practicing writing the CERs! Go Demons!
Last Friday’s fire alarm came with a special guest! Firefighter Jackie spent time with Wilson Creek classes to talk fire safety and celebrate everyone for staying calm, cool, and collected. 🚒🔥
