Come out and support our Manhattan Jr. High Wrestling team as they host Hickory Creek Middle School tonight at 4:15 pm in the MJHS gym. It’s camo night with the Blue Crew, so break out your camo and bring the energy. The Demons currently hold a record of 11-1 in dual meets and looks to extend their 9-meet win streak. Let's pack the gym and help make it an electric night for MJHS Wrestling. GO DEMONS!

This week marked the last "Future Warrior" match-up of the boys' basketball season. Hosted at MJHS, our 6th grade teams played Nelson Ridge while 7th and 8th faced Liberty Junior High. We enjoy this crosstown competition among athletes that will eventually come together at Lincoln-Way West. Great job, future Warriors!

MIS Student Council spread some serious holiday cheer this December! Members were thrilled to host a festive celebration where staff selected gifts and shared in the holiday spirit. To top it off, Student Council also ran a staff Bingo competition over the past two weeks—adding excitement, laughs, and friendly competition to our days. Anna Mac Pack Council students learned the importance of giving back and spreading joy to our community. Pack Council took a field trip today to Clarendale Retirement Community to sing Christmas carols followed by a visit to the Manhattan Food Pantry to unpack and organized all of the donations from their food drive. What a great experience for our students!

MJHS held its last Small Group House Meeting of 2025 last week, continuing to build positive relationships and teamwork with students and staff we may not often get a chance to work with. Students and staff did an awesome job in the challenge (and with the other collaborative activities), catching cups their partners tossed to them and celebrating successes together!

Our MJHS Student Council held their annual Angel Tree Network competition last week where student were encouraged to donate money in a grade-level challenge. Overall, Student Council raised $2,256.25 to purchase presents for seven Manhattan children who could use some help this holiday season. The 8th-grade Student Council members did the shopping, and all Student Council members helped with the wrapping. Thank you to everyone who donated, and great job Student Council members and sponsors (Mrs. Kozlowicz and Mrs. Shinovich)!
