As you may have already heard through news reports, the Chicagoland Speedway released all of their employees earlier this week. President of Chicagoland Speedway, Scott Paddock informed me yesterday, May 7th, that the Chicagoland Speedway will not be able to host graduation events. Mr. Paddock stated that to keep health and safety the top priority, follow the Governor’s executive order that is still in effect, and other circumstances, Chicagoland Speedway has cancelled events. As disappointing as this news is to all of us, we remain committed to celebrating our 8th Graders! We are already preparing to host a celebration in front of the Manhattan Jr. High School on the same date and time, Friday, May 22, 2020, at 6:00pm. We will work very quickly to share updated information with all of you next week.
