Our 8th Grade Advanced ELA students were hard at work this week peer editing their theme analysis essays on The Hunger Games. Students highlighted and annotated drafts, then collaborated with classmates to give thoughtful feedback and revise with purpose. Strong conversations, sharp insights, and plenty of growth for these MJHS Demons!

Thank you to the Lincoln Way West Scholastic Bowl team and coaches for inviting our MJHS Scholastic Bowl players to experience a match at the high school level. It was a wonderful opportunity for our players to get a feel for the next level of Scholastic Bowl competition. Our MJHS team was able to see the LWW Varsity and Novice teams in action. The high school players also shared gameplay and practice strategies, and had MJHS players join in a practice match. It was a great opportunity for our future Warriors! Go Demons! 💙🤍🖤📚

Anna Mac Pack Council students learned the importance of giving back and spreading joy to our community. Pack Council took a field trip today to Clarendale Retirement Community to sing Christmas carols followed by a visit to the Manhattan Food Pantry to unpack and organized all of the donations from their food drive. What a great experience for our students!
