Join MSD114 staff and support our schools at McDonald's on May 7th!

A volunteer from PAWS, along with this sweet puppy visited our 2nd grade classes. While Gretel stole their hearts, our students learned more about the work PAWS does to support and re-home cats and dogs.

We had a great time in each of the eras of our Family Literacy Night Tour! It was a wonderful evening of family fun. Thanks to our staff and families for making such a great event!

The 2nd grade student-led concession stand will run May 1st-3rd at Wilson Creek. Our 2nd graders will be managing the stand and donating their profits to PAWS! #wilsoncreeklearns

Congratulations to 8th grader, Ben Bergen, on achieving the Outstanding Language Learner Award and being honored at the Lincoln-Way High School Seal of Biliteracy Ceremony last week! Ben's hard work represents the highest level of learning and achievement in our Spanish program here at Manhattan Junior High School. Congratulations again, Ben! We are all so proud to call you a Manhattan Demon!

We enjoyed another year of super brave kids sharing their talents at the Wilson Creek Talent Show!

The Anna Mac staff outdid themselves with their Family Literacy Night door decorations!

Anna McDonald had a great "Night at the Movies" Family Literacy Night this week!

Fun day at The Mac today just being a kid. Started with sunshine, then some clouds rolled in, then it spit a little, and ended with a down pour, but we finished up just in the nick of time. Great job today Anna Mac. Played together nicely, cooperated, shared, and best of all...big smiles & happy! We have lots more in store for you kids. Have a great weekend!

Good luck to our MJHS Band, Choir, and Orchestra as they compete in the IGSMA State Festival this weekend! We know all of the hard work, time, effort, and practice these groups and individuals have put in this year will shine through in their performances on Saturday! Good luck, Demons!

Wow! The MJHS Cycle teachers and students have done it again! The 2023-2024 Cycle Showcase was truly an amazing production and display of hard work, ingenuity, and creativity. It was a beautiful culmination of so many wonderful ideas coming to life! Thank you to all of the staff and students who made this event a reality. Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. Marshall, Señora Smith, and Mrs. Duff, we are in awe of the work you and your students have produced this year!

We celebrated our yellow Cunningham family at our School Pride Assembly today. Both a teacher and a student made the possible shot!

One of our 2nd grade classes celebrated the publishing of their very own book. Great job to all of these authors!

Happy Earth Day! 🌎💚

Anna McDonald Student Council is hosting a pet supply drive to benefit the Furiends of Manhattan Pet Pantry! Supplies can be donated through May 3rd.

Congratulations to our MJHS Bowlers on a season well done! Our boys' team wrapped the season up with an 11th in state finish! Three of our boys and one of our girls all qualified individually as well. A very successful season, Demons! 💙🎳

Last week, Manhattan Junior High hosted our very first National Junior Honor Society induction ceremony. Thank you to our NJHS sponsors, Mrs. Johnston and Mr. Russ for all of their hard work, time, and effort they put into making this dream a reality for our school.
Congratulations to all of the inductees who consistently demonstrate the five qualities required of an NJHS member- scholarship, leadership, citizenship, character, and service. We are so proud to call you Manhattan Demons!

Remember to join us at the Cycle Showcase this Wednesday, April 24th at MJHS! 💙

Our first graders are authors! They've worked hard on publishing their personal narrative writing. Now they are sharing their work and celebrating with Publishing Parties! #wilsoncreeklearns

Our 2nd grade classrooms turned into hospitals for the day! Students scrubbed in for a super fun and exciting day of learning in the OR. The teachers even checked in at the nurse's station before the day started. #wilsoncreeklearns
