The Demons Track & Field Program had a great performance at the IESA Sectional Track Meet yesterday (hosted by Manhattan). 15 athletes qualified for State in 9 events! It came down to the very last event, but the 7th-grade boys won Sectionals by 3 points! Good job, Demons!

Monster Project 2025 was a huge success! Wilson Creek first graders drew monsters in art class and sent them over to MJHS. Junior High digital media and STEM students then brought the monsters to life in digital and 3D printed form!
This week, the MJHS students visited Wilson Creek to present their monsters back to them. It was a great experience for all involved. Thanks to our WC art and MJHS digital media and STEM team for engaging our students across the district!

Due to power outages, Manhattan School District 114 is closed today, Friday May 16th. All programs and activities have been cancelled.

We are beyond proud of our Manhattan Junior High Scholastic Bowl team!
In their first-ever appearance at the state tournament, they placed 2nd in the state! An extraordinary accomplishment that has made MJHS history!
This success is a testament to the team’s hard work, dedication, and incredible teamwork. A huge thank you to our amazing coaches, Mrs. Watson and Mrs. Hallihan, for their leadership, support, and belief in our students every step of the way.
Congratulations to our Scholastic Bowl team, you’ve made your school and community so proud! Go Demons!

What a day for a first!
Manhattan Junior High School’s Fishing Club held its first-ever Fishing Outing at the beautiful Monee Reservoir — and it couldn’t have been a better day for it! The weather was perfect, the fish were biting (a little), and our students had an unforgettable experience learning, laughing, and enjoying the outdoors with parents and staff.
A big thank you to Coach Hannig for making this event possible and for sharing his passion and knowledge with our students. Here’s to many more outings ahead! Fish on, Demons! 💙🎣

Bus F is just loaded and leaving. All of the students had a small snack while they waited.

2nd Grade loved pampering and celebrating Moms during the Mother's Day Luncheon!

Good luck to our MJHS Scholastic Bowl Team as they compete in Peoria today at the IESA State Finals! Let's Go, Demons! 💙📘

Thank you MIS families!

Coming off the Morris Invite where the Demons won all four grade levels, our MJHS track athletes competed at the DPVC Conference Meet today. There were 5 school records broken, 7 conference champs, and tons of PRs! Great job, throwers, jumpers, and runners!

Thank you to all the parents and students that came out for our Incoming 6th-Grade Step-Up Night! We were excited to have the Class of 2028 in the Junior High! A special thanks to Officer Bernardy and the Athletic Booster for attending and setting up a table! Go Demons!

"It's a WE Thing Wednesday" is back and Officer Shannon has joined the fun! We're so grateful for the support of our SRO Team and their commitment to keeping our families in the know and safe!
